Welcome to Art Be You. I founded this platform on a simple premise: Creativity is a functional tool for a better life.
For the past 15 years, I have operated in the highest tiers of the international art world. I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Art from the Manchester School of Art (UK), and my paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums from Bogota to Berlin, and London to Dallas. I’ve been recognized in the Catlin Art Guide as one of the most promising emerging artists in the UK and shortlisted for the Saatchi New Sensations.
But while the gallery world focuses on the object, I have always been obsessed with the process.
The Philosophy
My approach to teaching changed during a fellowship in Italy. Living in Rome and Orvieto I saw how art wasn’t just a luxury for museums; it was woven into the daily fabric of the community. I saw how it kept the mind sharp and the spirit resilient, regardless of age or profession.
When I returned to Dallas, I realized there was a gap. We have “activities” for seniors and “team building” for corporations, but we rarely offer high-level, intellectual engagement with the arts.
I created Art Be You to bring the rigor of a university studio into the real world. Whether I am teaching an executive team how to use abstract thinking to solve business problems, or working with seniors to maintain fine motor skills through painting, my goal is the same: To prove that you are capable of more than you think.
My Teaching Method
I do not teach “crafts.” I teach Art.
I treat every student, whether a CEO or a house resident, with the same respect I gave my university students at the University of Idaho and SMU. We use professional materials. We discuss composition. We embrace “mistakes” as part of the discovery process.
When you book a session with me, you aren’t just getting a painting lesson; you are getting a guide who has walked the path of creative struggle and knows how to lead you through it.

Beyond the easel, I am the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Execute Magazine, an international publication dedicated to contemporary art dialogue, which allows me to bring global artistic insights directly to my local students.
I live and work in Dallas, TX, where I balance my time between my private studio practice and empowering others to pick up a brush.
